YOU NEED THESE.
Your main source of points. White noppas score when they roll a six, so you'll generally want a good number of them.
Collect strange dice, roll for sixes, and figure out how to make them work together. The goal is to roll sixes with black dice. Easy enough.
Noppas are the dice you collect and use throughout the game.
Some help you score points, others create new dice, roll other dice, or do stranger things.
The idea is to build a collection
that works well together and find ways to roll sixes with
black noppas.
The game scoring system is based on three metrics:
You might wanna win "fast", by rolling a black six as early as possible, or win "thick", by having as many black sixes as possible at a single point in time.
Or you might go for "best", by maximizing the ratio between "number of black sixes" and "turn in which that happens".
At the start of each turn, you roll your hand of noppas. White noppas that land on six can be cashed in for points, which you can spend in the shop to get more dice for your collection.
Special noppas give you other ways to play. Some change your dice, some create new ones, and others affect how you score. Learning how their effects work together is a big part of the game.
Eventually, you'll want to get your hands on black noppas and roll sixes with them. You can do that the usual way, or find other ways to make it happen.
There are plenty of different noppas to collect, each with its own effect. Here are a few examples.
Your main source of points. White noppas score when they roll a six, so you'll generally want a good number of them.
Click the bunny to get white noppas in return. A straightforward way to grow your collection.
Click the mirror to transform it into a random active special from its column... can you tilt the probabilities to your advantage by using up some of the unwanted ones? Sure you can.
Rerolls the special noppas in the lowest available column. Great to save stuff that might die otherwise. Each die it rerolls makes it lose one pip, though.
Whites in the same column score. Suddenly that useless pile of dice looks pretty good.
There are dozens of special noppas to discover, with plenty of other effects to experiment with.
Find new noppas with different abilities. All are useful on their own, but some become much more interesting when combined with the right companion.
Put together a collection of noppas that work well together. The right combination can generate more dice, trigger extra effects, and help you score points more efficiently.
It's a dice game. You cannot control fate, can you? You won't always get the results you want, but you can do more than just roll again. Change dice, reroll them, duplicate them, or transform them to improve your chances of getting the results you're after.
